It's happened on March 23, 2005. An explosion occured at BP's Texas City refinery in USA. BP is a company which product oil and gas, situated in London. It product petroleum and derived products, aviation fuels, motor oil,..

It  had many factories in the worldwide.

  The Texas city refinery is the third big oil refinery in the united states, it produces 437,000 barrels per day.

After a brief presentation of the company. We present the causes of this accident:

  First, we can say that workers could expect such an accident because there was no condition of security in the factory. A consulting said when he visited the plant: " We have never seen a site where the notion " I could die today" was so real ".

So, the incident is due to an overfilling of the separator, then to an overheating of the liquid caused a stream of hydrocarbon which spilled over the battery. After this, the liquid accumulated on the ground and provocated a vapor cloud, which was lit by truck from the contractor that the engine was left running.

  The fire caused the death of 15 workers and more than 180 unjured.

 But , Despite this explosion many incidents occured after, for example on July 2005, then on August 2005, January 2008 and the last on Septembrer 2010 .every body have heard sure this accident.

So all legal actions and recommendations of the security measures were to no avail
